Business Description
Metapa is a leader in enabling its customers to move Business Intelligence (BI) applications to open-source, commodity technology. By enabling terabyte-scale data warehouses to be easily deployed on a cluster of commodity Linux severs, Metapa's solution, Cluster DataBase (CDB), delivers dramatic query acceleration and storage capacity, at a fraction of the cost of traditional data warehousing systems.
Product Description
Metapa's Cluster DataBase (CDB) is purpose-built for high performance decision support applications. CDB offers a powerful alternative to SMP-based data warehousing, by enabling very large databases to be deployed on inexpensive clusters of Linux machines. CDB is transparent to BI applications, while supporting parallel query processing across multiple database instances. Through a single system view, CDB simplifies administration of large cluster environments.
